Easy One Pot Beef Stroganoff
This delicious Beef Stroganoff recipe maximizes flavor while minimizing dishes! A family favorite for adults and kids alike!
Heat oil in heavy skillet. Salt the strip steak and add to skillet. Cook until browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest tented with foil.
Reduce heat to medium and add mushrooms. Saute for 5 minutes. Add onions and saute for an additional 5 minutes.
Add the broth, worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to scrape brown bits from the skillet. Bring the contents to a boil and add noodles. Follow instructions on noodle packaging for cooking. Plan on 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally so noodles cook evenly.
Once noodles are tender, remove from heat. Temper half of the sour cream by adding a couple of teaspoons of broth from the skillet and stirring. Add tempered sour creme to the skillet and stir. Then add the rest of the sour cream and stir to combine.
Slice steak into bit sized portions and add to skillet. Stir in to combine then season to taste and serve.
